We at Bison Marketing Services are located in Fort Qu’Appelle Saskatchewan as home based business.  We work across Canada and North America to bring buyers and sellers together on our farm gate time sales.  Online sales are a very unique way to bid. Selling bison directly from the farm or ranch gate minimizes the stress on the animals, the costs of transportation to the seller and knowing the price you will receive for your animals before they leave your farm.

Bison are sold online through a timed sale, with a start date and time and a closing date and time.  

Lots are posted previous to the sale date which gives a buyer the opportunity to see the said animals being sold by making arrangements with Bison Marketing for a live onsite viewing.

How to Participate in a Farm Gate Timed Auction 

First time users can register as a buyer by filling out the registration form.  Upon returning the attached pdf form to us, a username and password will be created for use for all sales.

After your Farm Gate account has been set up you will be ready to bid in the sale.

How to Bid in a Timed Auction Sale

Now that you are logged in and your account phone number/email is verified you are able to bid on the upcoming sale. 

When viewing a lot there will be a plus or minus button to increase or decrease your desired bid amount.  You may also manually enter your bid. 

Returning Farm Gate users

If you have been registered previously, simply log into the website, and you will be able to view all ongoing and upcoming auctions.

Sale Ending / Closeout 

If a bid has been entered before the auction has ended, but is within the 1 minute of closing, the auction will automatically be extended by 5 minutes to prevent bid sniping.

After the clock has gone to “ended” the system will declare the sale finished and the highest bidder will receive a winning bid notification email.

Note: Seller reserves the right to accept or pass the winning bid.

At the completion of the sale, Bison Marketing Services will contact the winning bidder, invoice them for their purchase of the said lots and make arrangements for payment. Arrangements for pickup and transportation is the responsibility of the buyer.

An email is automatically sent to the winning bidder notifying them of the winning bid price.

Terms and Conditions

Auction terms:  Only authorized registered users will be able to bid on sales.  To avoid missing a sale ensure your register before the start of the auction.

All animals sold by the dollar must be paid in full within three business days and full payment must be made before any animals are released.

Transportation of Released Animals is the responsibility of buyers.

All animals sold by the pound must be picked up within five days. Additional charges after this period will be $5 per head per day, unless other arrangements are made with the producer. These animals will be weighed at an inspected scale and a 3% shrink will be deducted from the gross weight.  The buyer will then be invoiced immediately and payment must be made at that time to the producer.

All payments must be made by wire transfer or certified check.

Bison Marketing Services will not be responsible for any insurance or liabilities. Buyers will be responsible for transportation and insurance.
